Oklahoma Clean Diesel (DERA) Program

The Clean Diesel program has allowed many entities across the state to replace their old diesel vehicles, thus improving the air quality for the children, environment, and citizens of Oklahoma. More than 43 school districts have been able to replace and/or retrofit more than 287 diesel school buses. This EPA-sponsored program is funded under the federal Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA); Volkswagen Settlement funds are used to match federal funds.

Current Program: Fiscal Year 2021

DEQ is now accepting applications for projects that reduce emissions from diesel vehicles. $734,342 of grant money is available for this fiscal year.

OpenFinal Application Deadline: December 10, 2021

Applications received by November 26, 2021 will be screened for completeness. For more information please refer to the Grant Solicitation.
