A minor public water supply system is a system with less than fifteen service connections and serves less than 25 people each day. Examples of minor public water supply systems may include facilities like mobile home parks, recreational vehicle parks, home daycares, duplexes, or small businesses that are not required to have a license from the Oklahoma Department of Health. In 2001, ECLS took responsibility for this program. In July 2008, DEQ began implementing OAC 252:624, a rule specifically for the permitting, construction, operation, and maintenance of minor water systems. An application for construction may be obtained at the local DEQ office. These systems are inspected and sampled annually by the local DEQ offices.
