Minor Public Water Supply Systems

Minor Public Water Supply Systems

A minor public water supply system has less than fifteen service connections and serves less than 25 people each day. Examples may include  mobile home parks, recreational vehicle parks, home daycares, duplexes, or small businesses that are not required to be licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Health.

In July 2008, DEQ began implementing OAC 252:624, a rule specifically for the permitting, construction, operation, and maintenance of minor water systems. These systems are inspected and sampled annually by the local DEQ offices.

An application for the construction of a new minor public water supply system may be obtained at the local DEQ office  or in the ECLS Forms link below.
