Oklahoma’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRGOK)
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) created the Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) program in 2023 with funding from the Inflation Reduction Act. The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) applied for and was awarded $3 million under Phase 1: Planning Grants.
As the lead agency for CPRGOK, DEQ will work with multiple partners to develop a statewide Priority Action Plan (PAP), Comprehensive Action Plan (CAP), and Status Report starting August 2023. Through the PAP and CAP, DEQ will develop a statewide greenhouse gas inventory and develop plans for reducing emissions from both criteria pollutants and greenhouse gases.
