CLEANUP & REDEVELOPMENT

Since 1993, the Department of Environmental Quality has dedicated itself to working with federal and local governments, non-profits, and private entities to provide support for cleanup, sustainable reuse, and redevelopment.

BROWNFIELDS

Provides outreach, environmental liability relief, and resources to assess and safely cleanup brownfields.

LAND RECLAMATION

Works with communities to facilitate the use of suitable portions of the solid waste stream to reclaim and restore Oklahoma lands.

MERCURY

Responds to household mercury spills and collects items containing mercury at community events.

SITE CLEANUP ASSISTANCE

Program performs cleanups of contaminated buildings, hazardous waste sites, and school labs around the state.

SUPERFUND

A federal program used to cleanup sites contaminated with hazardous substances and pollutants.

VOLUNTARY CLEANUP

A program for companies to investigate and cleanup properties voluntarily.
