Tinker Air Force Base
Tinker Air Force Base has been part of the Oklahoma City-area landscape since 1942, providing aircraft maintenance and repair services for nearly every heavy bomber in the Department of Defense inventory since that time. In 1977, the base became home to an Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) squadron, which continues to this day. Tinker AFB has a RCRA permit to store hazardous waste generated at the base in containers. Groundwater monitoring and remedial projects are also permit requirements to address groundwater contamination from historic base activities.
Note: Some of the permit files may take some time to download because of their size.
