 The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is offering a streamlined, on-demand certification exam for industrial radiographers. Applicants may now take the test at walk-in testing centers located around the state at any time the testing center is open.

DEQ has administered the industrial radiography certification test in Oklahoma for over 20 years and is one of the few states authorized to give the exam and issue the certification. This exam is part of the certification and is necessary to work as a lead radiographer. The certification must be renewed every five years. Currently almost 1000 workers hold active certification from DEQ.
