*UPDATED* Boil Order Issued for Osage County Rural Water District #20 (Hulah)

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has updated the boil advisory issued for Osage County Rural Water District (RWD) #20 (Hulah), located in Osage County. This boil order also affects those systems that purchase water from Osage County RWD #20 (Hulah), and as such, Wah-Sha- She Park is also included in the boil order This updated boil advisory includes additional information for water customers.

Until further notice, boiled water or an alternate source of water, such as bottled water, should be used for drinking, food preparation, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, washing fruits or vegetables, bathing infants who may drink bath water, or cleaning or bathing with open wounds.

Additionally, DO NOT USE boiled water to prepare baby formula. Use an alternate source of water, such as bottled water, for preparing baby formula. It is also recommended that the following should only use an alternate source of water, such as bottled water:

  • The elderly
  • Children
  • Pregnant women
  • Those with weakened immune systems
  • Anyone who cannot boil the water for any reason
  • Anyone with special health concerns

Residents will be notified when the water is considered safe for human consumption. Federal law requires that consumers be notified when a public water supply exceeds certain maximum contaminant levels and might be harmful to the public’s health.
