Members of the Environmental Quality Board (EQB) of the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) encourage residents of southeastern Oklahoma to attend a public forum scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2017. The public forum will be held following the regular business meeting of the board. There is no way to estimate how long the business meeting will last, which means there is no exact time for the start of the public forum. Both the meeting and public forum will be held at the REI Oklahoma, 2912 Enterprise Boulevard in Durant. The regular business meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Environmental Quality Board is the rulemaking authority for DEQ.

“The board welcomes input from those concerned about Oklahoma’s environment and the regulations governing their protection,” said EQB Chair Tim Munson. “The board’s role at the forum is to listen to citizens. While board members cannot speak about pending permits or enforcement actions, it is important to learn about issues of concern.”
